Do I have GD Library?
Log in to the joomla administration panel (www.yoursite.com/administrator) and click on the "System Info" under "Help". Now click on "Php information" and scroll down to "gd". Look at "GD Support", it should be set to "enable". If this is the case, you won't have any problem.

This component install just as any other component. Log in to your joomla administration panel and click on "Install/Uninstall" under "Extensions". Choice the zip-file and click on "Upload File & Install".
Voila! The Photoon Photo Gallery component is installed.
Setup:
Click on the menu where you want to insert the gallery (e.g. "Main Menu") under "Menus". Make a new menu object (click on "new") and choice "Photoon" -> "Default Layout".
Special configuration:
If you need individual image description you just put a textfile with the text you want in the same folder as the image with the same name. Example: "image_123.jpg" shows the description of the file "image_123.txt".
If you need to clean the thumbnails cache and regenerate thumbnails just log in to your joomla site with the admin account and go to the page with the photoon gallery and press the "clean thumbnail cache" button.
